Practical information

How to join us?

Our address:

Atmos - Port of Pointe Rouge
13008 Marseille

Are you coming by car?
You can park in front of the club in free parking spaces.

Before 8am you can park as close as possible to our premises ;-)

By public transport:

From Gare Saint Charles take the metro to Place Castellane or Rond Point du Prado. Then take bus 19 to the Pointe Rouge Port stop .
Go down the stairs and you've arrived.

How are the dives organized?

The morning meeting is scheduled for 8am, with departure between 9:15 and 9:30am. Return to the dock is scheduled between 3:30 and 4pm.

By default, and unless otherwise instructed, we always head out for the day with all the necessary equipment for our two dives, without returning to the dock between dives. You may wish to bring a packed lunch.

To make your diving easier, you can order your lunch online for direct delivery to the dive site on the day of your dive. IMPORTANT: ORDERS MUST BE PLACED THE DAY BEFORE BY 9 PM. NO ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN IN THE MORNING BEFORE DEPARTURE!!!

Also, make sure you have everything you need to protect yourself from the heat and the cold.

You can store your belongings overnight in a secure area at the center. If you plan to depart by train at the end of your stay, do not schedule a departure from Saint Charles Station before 6:30 PM.

Weather report

Follow the marine weather forecast to best prepare for your dives in Marseille ( https://www.windguru.cz/9355) .

Some information regarding the weather :
The Mistral (a north to west wind) consistently brings cool air and pushes the warm water out to sea, where it is replaced by cooler water from the depths. Despite the low temperatures, the Mistral quickly clears the clouds, ensuring sunny skies. Pack a drysuit or thick wetsuit, a windbreaker, and sunglasses.

The easterly wind (as its name suggests) generally brings warm, humid air. It's the wind of clouds and rain. It's very welcome after a Mistral wind because it quickly brings back the warm water carried out to sea. The port of Pointe Rouge is perfectly sheltered from easterly winds. When the easterly wind is moderate, it's possible to dive on the wrecks in the bay: the Drôme, the Miquelon, the Ker Bihan…
