How does your introductory dive trip work? We meet at 1:30 pm at our office in the Port of Pointe Rouge. We head out to sea at 2:00 pm. After a thorough briefing from your instructor, explaining all the fundamentals of scuba diving and basic diving safety rules, you'll be individually taken under the wing of a dive instructor who will accompany you for a 20-25 minute dive to a maximum depth of 6 meters, to discover the magic of scuba diving and the Mediterranean waters. Afterwards, you can enjoy the incredible panorama of the Calanques National Park and the Mediterranean sun for a relaxing moment of sunbathing. You'll be back at the port and free to resume your land-based activities by 5:00 pm. Who is an introductory dive for? An introductory dive is for anyone who wants to discover the underwater world: - Do you want to experience a unique dive to a depth of 6 meters? - Do you want to dive safely, build your confidence, and push your limits? - Do you want to become a diver? - Do you simply want to experience a magical moment? A first dive is for you! What are the prerequisites for signing up for a first dive? Since this is your first diving experience, you simply need to want to try it! It's preferable to know how to swim, but it's not mandatory. You must be able to demonstrate good health. A medical certificate is not required. For divers between 10 and 18 years old, parental authorization is required.

How does your training work? Your training is organized over 3 consecutive or non-consecutive days, depending on your preference. We meet at 8:00 AM at our facilities in the Port of Pointe Rouge. We head out to sea at 9:00 AM. You will complete two dives per day, reaching a maximum depth of 18 meters by the end of the training. You will be back at the port and free to resume your daily life on land by 5:00 PM. You will complete the training online at your own pace on the SSI website. The SSI Open Water Diver course is designed for anyone wishing to become a scuba diver, mastering all the necessary techniques to move freely in the water. With an SSI Open Water Diver certification, you will demonstrate expertise shared by divers worldwide and recognized by all diving centers, both locally and in distant seas.
